Teaching
Teaching that begins with the learner — and the problem worth solving.
Two decades of teaching, facilitating and mentoring across nine countries — from undergraduate classrooms to faculty development programmes and institutional leadership workshops.
Philosophy
Four commitments
Learner-centred by design
Teaching begins with the learner's context — their prior knowledge, motivations, and the problems they care about — and works backward to structure, activity, and assessment.
Problems drive learning
Well-crafted, authentic problems are the strongest engine for deep learning. Quality of the problem matters as much as delivery — the basis for the Problem Quality Rating Scale (PQRS).
Cyber-physical by default
Blending physical, digital and hybrid modalities intentionally — not as fallback — so learners experience the best of each and educators design coherent journeys across them.
Scholarly and reflective
Practice grounded in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: iterate, evidence, share. Teaching improves when it is studied openly with peers.
